Michgan’s CNA test, which is also known as as the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) Competency Evaluation Program, is done right after you complete a course that is certified by Michigans Nurse Aide Registry and/or the National League of Nursing Accredited Commission (NLNAC), which must be through a school or healthcare facility as the state of Michigan does not allow online training. The Michigan nurse aide test will consist of two parts, those being the written portion which you must attain a minimun of 80 percent right which after you complete the written portion you will then need to take the clinical portion where you will need to demonstate 5 patient skills correctly, where you will get 3 tries to get the skill correct. Once you have passed both portions of the Michigan CNA test, you will get your certication sent to your by Prometric, which during that time your will be added to Michigan’s Nurse Aide Registry enabling your to work as a certified nurses assistant anywhere in the state, which it takes about 14 days to arrive to you in the mail.

Requirements For Taking Your CNA Exam IN Michigan

To be able to take your CNA test you must fulfill certain requirements which are:

  • You must mail 2 different forms, one being a Michigan Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation Registration form which can be found and printed from this link: CNA testing in Michigan. Second you must mail in a document of CNA training completion. After you send this in you will get an Authorization to Test (ATT) letter which you present when you go to take your test.
  • Present two forms of ID on test day that have your signature on it.
  • A valid Social Security Number
  • Take your training within a year after you completed your schooling.
  • Pay $100 in the form of a check for both portions of the test. Pay authorizations fees with a check.
